What's ZIPANG ART EDITION
千葉・南房総を舞台に2015年に初開催されたZIPANGは、
会場を栃木県那須高原に移し新しいスタイルの
「ZIPANG ART EDITION」として生まれ変わリました。
ZIPANG Art Editionは、ZIPANGのプロデューサーを
キュレーターに、総勢16組の現代アートのクリエーターが、
避暑地リゾートとして有名な栃木県那須高原の廃校を
アートリノベーションした話題の施設「NASU UTOPIA」を舞台に、
ART & MUSIC FESTIVAL「ZIPANG」の新しいプロジェクトとして、アートと音楽で地域活性化をテーマに、
2022年より開催されるアートの祭典です。
ZIPANG Art Edition is an art festival that will be held from 2022 onwards, with the theme of regional revitalization through art and music. The festival takes place at NASU UTOPIA, a popular resort in the cool highlands of Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture, where a total of 16 contemporary art creators, curated by the producer of ZIPANG, have renovated an abandoned school into a topic of conversation. This festival is a new project of the ART & MUSIC FESTIVAL "ZIPANG".

MirrorBowler(ミラーボーラー)は2000年に活動を開始した数百個のミラーボールを使
って「宇宙と和式美」をテーマに光と反射の空間作品を創りだすアート集団。
ミラーボーラーズ株式会社により展開する。
グラフィックデザイナー、写真家、照明技師、美術講師、植物師、鍛治職人など様々なジ
ャンルのメンバーからなる。
2000年から活動を始め、2003年夏に世界的ロックフェスFUJI ROCK FESTIVALに会
場装飾として参加、数百個のミラーボールで森の中に壮大な光の幻想空間を演出、大きな
反響を得る。

ZIPANG ART EDITION 2023 - Artist info - MirrorBowler MirrorBowler is an art
collective that started its activities in 2000, creating spatial works of light and
reflection with hundreds of mirror balls, focusing on the themes of "space" and
"Japanese aesthetics." It is developed by MirrorBowlers Inc. The group consists
of members from various genres, including graphic designers, photographers,
lighting technicians, art instructors, botanists, and blacksmiths. They started
their activities in 2000 and gained significant acclaim when they participated in
the world-renowned rock festival, FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, in the summer of
2003, decorating the venue with hundreds of mirror balls and creating a
magnificent fantasy space of light in the forest.
